Generic Cyclone: Gas Streamtraces

Gas flow through cyclones is complex due to the highly swirling nature of the flow. This animation shows gas streamlines in a high mass loading cyclone. A colored iso-surface shows the central vortex of upward moving gas before it enters the gas outlet tube.

If the animation does not load or is of poor quality, try running this compiled Smacker file: c1.exe (0.6MB).

Note that this is an executable file, and should be suitable for all PCs running Win95 or later. For more information about Smacker and its compiled executables, please follow this link.
