Model of Three Tuyeres

A two-dimensional bottom blown fluidised bed system was modelled using CFD. The outer tuyeres inject air into the bed while the centre tuyere feeds natural gas for in bed combustion. On the right is a video of the laboratory physical model of the system. CFD was used, with physical modelling, to understanding the mixing between the central gas and side air tuyeres.
